An MA in medical sciences from Cambridge might well have been a pointer to Neil’s future, but by the time he graduated he had decided he wanted to pursue a career in finance. Neil joined Deloitte in 1988 and trained as a chartered accountant, before moving into corporate finance in 1991. He began his investing career in 1995 whilst seconded to NatWest Ventures.
Neil joined Primary in 1997 as a Director, becoming Chief Investment Officer in 2003 and Managing Partner in 2012. Neil has worked on a number of our investments including Pegasus, PCL, Coffee Nation, InBond, Paperchase, Pacific Direct and Napier Turbochargers.
Although a relatively late convert to the sport, Neil is now an avid skier and has a keen interest in architecture.
